Blue Chip Builders was founded by Brent Payne, who was born and raised in Fayette County. Brent grew up in the trades learning about commercial buildings and their systems while working as an assistant HVAC technician. When he wasn’t at work, he spent his time on his grandfather’s farm--either building, fixing something, or selling their home grown produce.

After graduating from Southern Polytechnic State University (now Kennesaw State University), he spent over 10 years in the construction industry working as a project manager, engineer, & operations manager before founding Blue Chip Builders.

Brent holds and maintains a General Contractor license as well as a conditioned air license in Georgia. Brent is a member of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce as well as the Class of 2025 Leadership Fayette team.
